The raccoon is sometimes considered a disturbing species, perhaps because of its intelligence and its adaptability allowing it to exploit the vicinity of humans to its advantage. This painting shows us a mother watching over her young while exploring the treasures of the pond. Wild flowers, called marsh callas, lend a poetic character to the work while situating the action in the natural habitat of raccoons. Notice the nipples on the female's belly. And in her shining eyes, we can perceive her desire to send us a message. Offered with or without a frame, the fine art giclée on canvas will bring the joy of an eternal spring to your home. The original painting is available.

Gisèle often observed raccoons when she lived in Berthierville. The species is present in Haute-Gaspésie, but in fewer numbers.
The original painting is a 24" x 36" (61 cm x 91 cm) oil on canvas. To reserve or purchase it, or simply obtain information, click here.

Fine art prints to spread the beauties of art and nature

Each year, Monique and Gisèle allow the reproduction of a limited number of original paintings. They do this essentially to make the products derived from their art accessible to all budgets, and above all, to finance the educational projects of the Society of Art and Science for Nature (SAS Nature), the non-profit organization of which they are co-founders.
