MONIQUE IN HER WILD GARDEN

The white trillium and red trillium are among Monique's favourite wildflowers, who was enchanted by their magnificence from childhood. She painted them in several paintings, inspired by sketches made in the field. Trilliums are combined with a multitude of animal subjects, especially when composing large and
medium-sized canvases. For Monique, the trillium also evokes the trio that she forms with Raynald and Gisèle.
