What if the Little Prince by Saint-Exupéry came back to Earth in the Canadian boreal forest instead of the Saharan desert? In this unusual and moving artwork, the dark tones and the raking light add depth to our encounter with the child from elsewhere. Anyone who observes the painting feels directly addressed by the main character, who we guess carries an important message. The fine art giclée on canvas is offered with or without frame. Discover some secrets of the original painting in the History section.

Gisèle's inspiration came from a moving dream. From then on, an obsession, a mission inhabited her: to paint the child messenger and his fox friend from a somewhat blurred spiritual vision. Only music composed by Vangelis helped her express this inspiration on canvas. She listened to it several times a day while she painted. Admiring the painting while letting yourself be carried away by this musical atmosphere is an extraordinary experience, a journey to the heart of artistic creation! Click below to listen to it:

Gisèle reveals other secrets of this painting in the Frisson Sacré du monde sauvage art book, available on our online shop. The original painting belongs to the artist's personal collection and is permanently exhibited at the Monique and Gisèle Benoit Centre. This is an oil on canvas in the size 48" x 36" (122 cm x 91 cm).

Fine art prints to spread the beauties of art and nature

Each year, Monique and Gisèle allow the reproduction of a limited number of original paintings. They do this essentially to make the products derived from their art accessible to all budgets, and above all, to finance the educational projects of the Society of Art and Science for Nature (SAS Nature), the non-profit organization of which they are co-founders.
