THE CALL OF THE GREAT OUTDOORS

Gisèle was 16 on her first wildlife-watching trip to Alberta and the Yukon, after winning a grant from the Canadian Nature Federation (CNF) in 1977. The Benoit trio returned there frequently in the 80 and 90s to perfect their knowledge. Some paintings, including Salomon’s Son, testify to the emotion of the painters in front of the immensity of the Rockies.
