For Gisèle, the bohemian waxwing is one of the finest passerines to frequent the southern regions of Québec in winter. Fruit trees, such as rowans, attract it near houses where it can easily be observed. In order to underline the gregarious winter behaviour of these birds, the artist chose to paint five of them feeding on rowanberries or resting. Their proximity suggests that they would be much more numerous if we could see the entire rowan tree, out of the frame of the canvas. The waxwing's plumage evokes the softness of velvet. The giclée on canvas taken from the original oil painting by Gisèle will delight you with its colourful fruits, its birds in action and its vertical format, ideal for a narrow wall. This fine art print is offered with or without frame.

Fine art prints to spread the beauties of art and nature

Each year, Monique and Gisèle allow the reproduction of a limited number of original paintings. They do this essentially to make the products derived from their art accessible to all budgets, and above all, to finance the educational projects of the Society of Art and Science for Nature (SAS Nature), the non-profit organization of which they are co-founders.
