ROMANCE AND MORNING MIST

A romantic and luminous scene that highlights the mating rituals of the king of our forests, as Gisèle has observed them since the late 1970s. After their frolicking, on a cold September morning, the warm bodies of the moose are enveloped in an aura of mysterious mist. In this artwork, the pair’s position testifies to their brief union. Guardian of their privacy, the male watches the surroundings, ready to fend off a rival, while the female eats calmly.
