Carrying out an artistic quest and a scientific quest at the same time is certainly not within the reach of just anyone. Making them converge without altering the specificity of each, as Monique and Gisèle are doing today, is quite remarkable! Their journey is reminiscent of a quote from the painter Émile
Bernard for whom there are three operations: "Seeing, operation of the eye. Observing, operation of the mind. Contemplating, operation of the soul. Whoever succeeds in this third operation enters the domain of art." In other words, everyone sees, scientists observe and analyze, while artists contemplate after seeing and observing nature. That summarizes everything.
