This painting by Gisèle pays homage to a magnificent female wolf she observed and named Winnie. With her confident, intelligent and wise gaze, Winnie seems to address herself to those who gaze upon her. What can we say about her fur, delicately painted, which varies between tones of white, beige and subtle reflections of grey evoking the pale glow of a January sun! Each brushstroke highlights the delicacy of the wolf's features, from her erect ears to her wet muzzle. Ericaceae plants add a touch of colour highlighting the portrait. The atmosphere of the original canvas exudes a feeling of serenity admirably rendered by the metal printing process. Adopting Winnie means having the very embodiment of the free spirit of nature under your roof. The fine art metal print of this work is offered to you in glossy or matt size.

Winnie grew up within the Manitous Pack, which the Benoit family followed for several years, in Northern Ontario. We can also see her in a few episodes of season 4 of the web-series MA’IINGAN, IN THE LAND OF THE WOLF, broadcast on Gisèle’s YouTube channel. The original painting belongs to a private collection. This is a 18’’ x 24’’ (46 cm x 61 cm) oil on canvas.

Fine art prints to spread the beauties of art and nature

Each year, Monique and Gisèle allow the reproduction of a limited number of original paintings. They do this essentially to make the products derived from their art accessible to all budgets, and above all, to finance the educational projects of the Society of Art and Science for Nature (SAS Nature), the non-profit organization of which they are co-founders.
