The light and presence highlighting the wolf in the foreground almost make us forget the secondary subjects, especially the one whose black fur blends with the shadows of the background. Gisèle wanted a scene with few colours, whose style would recall her painting entitled The Runaways – Grey Wolves she painted a year earlier. The Pathfinders are the continuation, in a context of relaxation where the motionless wolves seem to be waiting for something, or someone. We can also see in them pathfinders having finally found what the pack of The Runaways' painting had been looking for for a long time... If you look closely at the two artworks, you will recognize the three pathfinders among the runaways. The fine art giclée print on canvas is offered to you with or without a frame. It will bring calm and comfort to your home. Ideal to give as a gift to someone who loves wolves.

For many years, the wolf has been at the heart of the commitment of Gisèle, Monique and Raynald Benoit. By sharing their observations, documentaries and artworks, this trio of naturalists wishes to raise public awareness of the ecosystem services provided by the wolf. The Benoits’ message is a call to humility. According to them, we must relearn how to work with the laws of nature, or at least stop opposing them by imposing our own rules to satisfy human interests.

The original painting is part of a private collection. This is a 30’’ x 24’’ (76 cm x 61 cm) oil on canvas.

Fine art prints to spread the beauties of art and nature

Each year, Monique and Gisèle allow the reproduction of a limited number of original paintings. They do this essentially to make the products derived from their art accessible to all budgets, and above all, to finance the educational projects of the Society of Art and Science for Nature (SAS Nature), the non-profit organization of which they are co-founders.
