Episode 10 – Stories of Bears and Birds
The wolf Jimmy explores a colony of marsh marigolds, causing concern among the ground-nesting birds. Meanwhile, members of the Chubby family, beaver neighbours of the Benoit trio, narrowly escape the attack of a black bear that has developed predatory habits. The land of the wolf is home to songbirds with magnificent voices and plumage. Their song charms even the Philosopher Bear, a music lover at times! The weather sometimes reserves unpleasant surprises in May. A cold spell accompanied by snowfall is catastrophic for wildflowers and insectivorous birds.
