IN SEARCH OF PERFECT HARMONY

Gisèle finds inspiration in the wilderness. From her observations of the landscape, flora and fauna, she creates scenes with the veracity of which the layperson might doubt as the painted subjects complementing each other in a sometimes supernatural harmony. For example, the artist actually observed a pair of eastern bluebirds nesting near a marsh in Northern Ontario. Always on the lookout for insects, the birds came to perch on the bare branches, not far from the shore where magnificent wild irises grew.
